Sunset on Long Beach

Take a position anywhere along this beautiful stretch of beach and look to the west for the best sunset in Vietnam!

 

Beachside dining at Bai Sao

Perhaps one of the better beaches in Vietnam, this place still boasts a fairly basic existence and is an essential trip when visiting this Island. Enjoy fresh seafood, swim or just laze the day away; this is a perfect place to do it!

 

Diving or Snorkeling the reefs

Though the best time of the year is generally from November to April, anytime when the sun out and the sea is calm is a great time to hit the water to enjoy its natural tranquility along with some great diving & snorkelling.

 

Mountain waterfalls

Though the best time of the year for bathing at these places is generally from May to September, anytime with reasonable weather is a good time to enjoy a picnic or a stroll through the forest.

 

Experiencing a Pepper farm

The Pepper from Phu Quoc is reputedly one of the worlds finest and a visit to any one of the farms on the Island is well worth it even if only to stock up on some tasty inexpensive black or white pepper to take home!

Visit the local town market. Souvenirs and sizzling seafood at Dinh Cau Market night

In the center of town beside the Duong Dong river is the Town market, this is a great place to experience the daily life of the locals and see many interesting fruits, vegetables, meats & seafood – Best time to visit is in the morning from 6am to Midday.

Dinh Cau night Market: Every night Vo Thi Sau street, in the main town, come alive with activity as visitor and locals alive are drawn to the many actractions of the night market. Close to traffic, you can amble safely along browsingsouvenirs and handicrafts, or take a seat at one of sidewalk eateries and feast on deliciously fesh grilled seafood and meats.

 

Adventurous ride around the north east

For experienced riders only but for those who do take the trip its well worth the efforts especially in the dry season.


Follow the road from Bai Thom to Ham Ninh where it boasts sea views to the left and stunning mountain scenery to the right side, this is a great day trip. In or after heavy rain its not recommended to take this road, can be very steep in places & slippery!

 

Forest walk in the north

Approx. 5km east from Ganh Dau on the right hand side of the road look for a sign and a path opening to enter the forest. This path goes for some kms so its recommended a 1km walk in will be enough to enjoy the beautiful virgin forest, keep your eye out for the many birds and animals of the forest.

 

Visit a fish sauce factory:

You just really need to follow your nose to discover thi particularly pungent product that makes this island world famous, most factories can be found in and around Duong Dong town

 

Sunrise at Ho Quoc Pagoda

 Get here around 5:30 am and watch the sun from behind mainland Vietnam. Ho Quoc Pagoda is one of the best places to watch the sunrise in Phu Quoc
